OFFICE CLOSINGS
Edgefield County offices will be closed on the following dates in 2009-10:

     Thursday, December 24th, Friday, December 25th and Monday, December 28th in observance of Christmas Holiday
     Friday, January 1st, 2010 for New Year's Day 
     Monday, January 18, 2010 for Martin Luther King, Jr., Day
     Friday, April 2, 2010 for Good Friday
     Monday, May 31, 2010 for Memorial Day
     Monday, July 5, 2010 for Independence Day
     Monday, September 6, 2010 for Labor Day
     Thursday, November 11, 2010 for Veterans Day
     Thursday, November 25, 2010 and Friday, November 26, 2010 for Thanksgiving
     Thursday, December 23, 2010; Friday, December 24, 2010; and Monday, December 27, 2010 for Christmas

TAXES DUE
Edgefield County property tax bills must be paid by January 15th to avoid penalties.  Tax payments bearing a United States postal stamped date of January 15th will be accepted without penalty.  When the end of the tax period falls on Saturday, Sunday or legal holiday, the tax period is extended to the next business day.  A legal holiday is any day the Courthouse or the offices of the United States Postal Service are closed.
